Peggy Hackney will be joining in this years dance anywhere® event and dancing simultaneously with performers around the world. Hackney is the Co-Founder of Integrated Movement Studies. She holds a M.F.A. in dance from Sarah Lawrence College (among other degrees).
Hackney teaches in the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley, where she has also served as Director of Dance.
Peggy performed with many dance companies in New York City for 10 years before joining the Bill Evans Dance Co. and touring the USA. She was on the Dance Faculty of the University of Washington for 11 years, and has taught throughout the United States as well as in Europe and Australia.
In recent years Peggy has done teaching residencies at the Rotterdam Dance Academy, New York University Dance Department, Enknapp Dance Co. in Ljubljana, Slovenia, The Yoga Room in Sydney, Australia, the Australian Dance Movement Therapy Association in Melbourne, and Art Therapy Italiana in Bologna and Rome, Italy.
Peggy is on the GreenDot Project team at NYU—a group that is training computers to analyze Movement Signature of world leaders.

In 2014 Hackney danced atop the petrified sand dunes, at the Snow Canyon State Park in Utah.
