“When I was younger I danced just about anywhere. In the grocery store, the kitchen, the hallways at my mom’s office. Today I tend to rush from place to place; I’ve replaced dancing with speed walking, but how cool would it be if we all just stopped for a moment and danced? All at the same time, all around the world. That’s exactly what Dance Anywherepromotes. Dance Anywhere was founded in 2005 by dancer Beth Fein, and the idea is that we can all stop to dance, at the same time, all around the world; to celebrate movement, life, and ourselves.
Check out their awesome video, and consider participating! I know I will be, and am encouraging my students to do the same. All you have to do is video yourself or your group on March 28th (2 weeks from today!) at noon (if you’re in SF), submit your video, and viola! You’ll be able to share with others all around the globe. Check out the Dance Anywhere site here, or connect with them on Facebook or Twitter. I’m off to go sign up now; I’ll see you [dancing] there!”
