San Francisco Bay Area legendary dance icon, Anna Halprin talks about her plans for dance anywhere® 2015 and the excitement that spontaneous dance can spark when a public supermarket is transformed by performance and random strangers are drawn into dance anywhere®.

For more than 70 years dance legend, Anna Halprin has choreographed and performed site- specific dances in diverse spaces throughout the Bay Area and the world. in 2014, Anna participated in dance anywhere® and explored a new location for performance: Woodlands Market, a supermarket near her home in Kentfield, CA. “We danced at our local grocery store where old, young college students, mothers with babies come to shop.”  Anna plans to return to the Woodland market for a new dance anywhere® performance on Friday March 27th.
