I have been dancing since before I can remember. Without music I would be completely lost. For the first eight years of my life I danced wherever I heard music. Then for a few months I was allowed to take ballet, tap, and jazz lessons. When they wanted to put me in advanced classes I was taken out of classes altogether. I went back to dancing wherever there was music. :) I took a few classes over the years, but never stayed in one place too long. Eventually I ended up in Bakersfield where I found Bahiyya Almas and spent three years learning from them, dancing with them, and fulfilling my dreams of being a performing dancer. I hope to spend a fourth year doing the same and hope to meet some of you along the way. :)
